What is it?!?

The frame you see pictured above is a visual representation of the brutal beating my CPU is taking right now. It’s currently rendering at about 2 - 3 minutes per frame and the resolution is only 400×225 4 - 5 mins per frame (I’m exporting a higher res version now)… more than just a new computer, I’m gonna need a render farm if I keep this up!

For those interested, I have plans for some additional post in After Effects and then will probably ad some sound effects too, so it will be up in a day or two.

Oh the suspense!

My 2008 After Effects Showreel is up finally. Check it out in the motion section of the site. I’ve got plans for a little tutorial based on the crosshatch style animation effect seen in the showreel as well, so stay tuned for that if interested!

…and it’s been a long time coming!

So I finally decided to overhaul the ol’ juicestain.com and not only update the design, but the internal workings too. For whatever reason, I never incorporated a CMS into my old site so I had to do all updates, news or otherwise, by hand! Needless to say, it was a pain in the arse and the site saw much neglect.

This time around though I’ve got a fresh look and a wordpress powered content management system to keep things running smoothly. I still have a lot to tweak and haven’t even put together a demo reel yet for the motion section, but I’m getting there.
